At Rhön-Malz GmbH, we malt our brewing-barley the traditional way:
Barley-store: 12.000 tons in silos and flat-stores from 50 tons to 1.500 tons
Steeping: in conical steep vessels for 30 tons of barley
Box-Malting: in Saladin-boxes for 60 tons of barley
Kilning: in three high-performance-kilns, with heat-recovery, fired by natural gas
Malt-stores: 3.000 tons in silos from 70 tons to 800 tons capacity
Quality-control: in our own laboratory
